Air Filters

This category covers replacement filters for home furnaces and central HVAC systems: standard pleated filters, high-MERV filters, and washable options across the sizes most residential systems use.

We compare MERV ratings, dimensions, and filtration claims against what manufacturers publish, along with what verified owners report about airflow, fit, and how often a filter needs replacing. MERV numbers come from the manufacturer or ASHRAE, never estimated.

Because filter needs vary by household and by HVAC system, we note the tradeoffs of higher MERV filters, including restricted airflow on some systems, so shoppers can match a filter to their equipment rather than buy on MERV number alone.
